What is Good hair?

“You have that good hair”, “ I can never do that you can because you have that good hair”      I hear people talk a lot about “good hair”. Unless you’re Becky with the good hair from Beyoncé’s song, there is no such thing as “good hair.” All hair is good hair. Wether it’s 3a or 4c all hair is good hair. Looser curls does not mean better. Even people with looser curls have a hard time managing their hair and it’s okay. It’s not fair to the people who make these comments nor to the people who are receiving these comments. 

      When people make these comments it could really damage their own self esteem as wells as the person who the comment was made to. Some people like the compliment but I personally don’t like it because I don’t feel as though I’m better than anyone else. As someone with 3c/4a hair I do t believe my hair is any better than anyone else’s. And I think there’s other people who could feel the same way for different reasons. I don’t believe any hair type is better than anyone else’s.       I honestly sometimes envy people with a thicker hair texture because it’s so pretty to me and I want that. I’ve always adored thicker hair textures than mine and wished I had that, but that doesn’t mean I don’t love my hair either.       Self love is very important. Love your self and the hair you were born with. Some styles of hair cant be done with 4c hair that can’t be done with 3a or 2a or 2c. Wether it’s straight or curly you should love the hair you were born with.
